Why Do Fees Show With No Order Type?

You may have noticed that sometimes when an order is being placed a delivery fee and/or tax is shown on the order before an order type is even chosen. This is a setting that can be managed in the Tax/Tender/Cash area.



To manage this feature navigate to Manager Home > Configuration > Tax/Tender/Cash.



At the bottom of the screen the "Display for Orders In Progress" is the setting that controls financial displays for an order when an order type is not selected. This affects both the tax rate and the delivery fee. Select the order type you wish for this to display on when an order is in progress, or you can set it to "Select"



Be sure to save your changes.
