DayPart Hours

Daypart hours allows you to categorize your hours of operation into different parts. For example: Breakfast, Lunch, Happy Hour, and Dinner. This helps control features such as special pricing, promise times, and reporting. You do not have to include all your open hours in the dayparts, but if you don't, some business hours may get left off of certain reports.

To add, edit, or manage your daypart hours, navigate to Manager Home > Configuration > General > Store Setup.

Here is where you can setup your hours of operations for each daypart group.

Add New Group:
To add a new group click on "Add New" from the dropdown.

Enter the name of the group in the popup and click Add.

This will add a new group to the drowdown list.

Set Daypart Times:
Select the new name and add the hours of operation for that group. For example: If your lunch time is between the hours of 11:30AM and 1:00PM you would enter 11:30AM into the start time, and 1:00PM into the end time.

If a particular group time ends after midnight, be sure to select the "Next Day" box to indicate that close time is actually the next day.

Tip:  Daypart hours can not overlap.  If you have trouble setting the ending time, you may have to adjust the start of the next daypart first.

If you receive an error due to conflicting times, simply make sure you set your times 1 minute apart.

For example lunch goes from 10am to 2pm and dinner goes from 2pm to 10am. Make dinner 2:01pm and dinner 10:01am. This will resolve your conflicting times.

If you have not setup additional daypart times, then after this group time has expired the system will revert back to the normal hours of operations you have set under store hours.

Delete A Daypart Group:
If you no longer need a particular group, select the group from the dropdown and click on "Delete". You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the group. Click "Delete" and it will be removed from the list.

Be sure to always save your changes.
